Joe Biden is producing more oil than Donald Trump did. US production has reached its largest volume ever, outpacing its highest point under Trump’s presidency. Democrats have argued that a transition to renewable energy will not happen overnight so fossil fuels will be needed for the short term.

I mean that is true. Ramping up renewables before retiring fossil fuels is the only way to avoid price spikes
Also, people REALLY need to understand that production today is the result of decisions made years and decades ago.
