– cut up apples
– boil the apples with water and a bit of lemon juice
– blend/mash the boiled pieces
I guess it’s called Apfelmus (in German) – it’s basically smashed Apples with a bit sugar. You should find plenty recipies online if you prefer making your own. We just buy Apfelmus – it’s sold at every grocery store.
Easy:
1. Take apples (e.g. 1 kilo)
2. Peel them
3. Dice them (~2-3cm)
4. Boil them with 1-2 cinnamon (sticks), sugar (according to your taste. depends on the apples as well. but start with 150 gramms) and cloves (de: nelken) until the apple cubes are super soft (around 1 hour)
5. Remove the water, cloves and cinnamon sticks
6. Smash the apples (e:// add lemon juice. Otherwise it will be brown)
7. Enjoy
If youre in Austria, go to a supermarked and look for “Apfelmus”. Mostly in a Glas.
