Would anyone please explain the humour of this WW1 German postcard? Is he upset after 3 days in the army? He received 3 days of what? I’m confused. Thank you!

2. Just want to say that I find it incredibly weird how the First World War is still called the Great War in Britain and seemingly still has such a strong hold on public remembrance.

4. He was only given sick leave for three days. Soldier humor. To this day there are jokes about the
   ‚Truppenärzte‘ and their methods.
