TurboTax faces major threat to its business. The IRS is launching a pilot plan, known as Direct File, that will offer a free way to submit taxes for U.S. workers. Direct File is being funded by a portion of the $80 billion released via President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act.

About time! I find it inconceivable that we don’t already have this…
Good. I shouldn’t have to pay someone or something money from MY tax RETURN, to get back money that was already taken from me once!
This was tried once but Intuit bribed the right people to sink the effort.
