This was a good read on how Arda came to this club, but I want to pick everyone’s brain on this one portion of the article “Guler wanted to move to Madrid, but only if he could start immediately at the Bernabeu. He felt ready to make the step up having played 35 games for Fenerbahce, scoring six goals and providing seven assists while wearing the No 10 shirt, and having played four times for [Turkey](https://theathletic.com/football/team/turkey/)’s senior team, scoring once.
The ball was in Madrid’s court, and they agreed to keep him in their squad after consulting Ancelotti. The veteran Italian spoke to the teenager himself to convince him of the move and explain what was expected of him.”
I am confused on this, does this mean we are expecting Arda to start regularly? Didn’t seem to provide the actual agreement with Ancelotti but surely that cannot be the case?

I think it means he didn’t wanna go on loan or play for Castilla. I could be wrong tho
Pretty sure he has the same chance as everyone else – if he’s good enough he’ll start. If he isn’t then he won’t.
He wanted to be marked as crucial and I said important. I originally tried for rotation.
From what I understand, Arda wanted to be a part of the first team. Not be promised a starting role.
Ancelotti loves playmakers like Arda. He will turn probably look to integrate him into the first 11 after modric leaves
Could easily see him in a Camavinga/Rodrygo role like the 21/22 szn. Come in the last 20-30 minutes, bring some energy and create some chances. Would be nice if he got la Copa del Rey.
