They don’t publicly say it because the iraqi people absolutely hate America, but they understand that if the U.S leave iraq, iran will take over the entire country.

Invading wasn’t a good idea to begin with but we’ve given them more than adequate time for them to be able to stand up on their own. Personally I think the Sunni, Shea, Wahhabis, and few Christians need their own separate states within the country but, I’m just an ex-grunt.

As a supposed “ally” of Iraq my opinion, as an American, is we should respect their wishes and remove the troops and give them their full sovereignty and territorial integrity back.

No more. It’s stupid. I was part of the last 1000 troops that withdrawed in Dec 2011 from the 82nd Airborne as a Platoon Leader for the last satellite connection node for the US Army and it slowly built up… more and more. This needs to be done. Also got stop lossed in 2005 and forced to stay in beyond my exit date (ETS). There is so much wasted money and man power on this.
Don’t they want a chance to be the next Japan/Korea?
