  1. People who searched for her should be allowed to take turns stomping the head of the animal who kidnapped her

  2. Yay!!! I saw your earlier post and I’m so grateful for this one!

  3. If the rumours are true and that the kidnapper switched off/broke the little girl’s phone so that they can’t track GPS signal is mortifying. Dude knew what he was doing. Knows police’s first go to and had it all planned out. Hope he gets locked up for so, so long.

  4. Turns out she was kidnapped and taken to a pre-prepared garage.

SWAT swarmed it, found the 42yo suspect and the girl.

As a Lithuanian – this is unheard of. Yes, we’ve had stories of parental kidnappings, but an actual premeditated kidnapping of a child by a stranger – never thought I’d ever see it happen here. It NEVER happens, children here walk in the streets, take public transport, play wherever they please completely unsupervised and they’re never touched. I guess there’s a first time for everything, huh…

Anyway, I’m glad it’s all over, we can now sleep easily. Although the investigation plus the trial will dominate the news for years…

  5. Missing girl found alive: A nine-year-old girl named Agota, who went missing on Sunday in Kaunas, Lithuania, was found alive on Tuesday night with a suspect who was arrested.

Police and firefighters search: The police and firefighters searched for the girl and the suspect in garages near the place where she disappeared. They cut the doors and safes of the garages to find them.

Girl taken to hospital: The girl was found cold but healthy in one of the garages with the suspect, who was born in 1981 and had mental health problems. The girl was taken to a hospital for medical examination and the suspect was detained.

State leaders react: The president and the prime minister of Lithuania expressed their gratitude to the police and the public for their efforts and their relief that the girl was found safe and sound.

  6. The girl was found locked up in a garage not far from the place of abduction. The girl is currently in Kaunas clinic, under medical care. The arrested kidnapper is 42 year old man. The garage was not ordinary, it was specially prepared. “The crime was committed in a sufficiently competent manner, the person did not expect to be arrested. Some things surprised us” “We processed a huge amount of information in a very short time.”

“We thank thousands of people who contributed to the search for the girl” – Police commissioner.

  7. Such a relief, and sadly, not the usual outcome. So glad in this case the child was found alive.

  8. put that dude in prison together with a bunch of normal dudes, case closed.
