Just like with everything else, he’s thinking about how it’d affect him. If the economy blows up, he stands a better chance to be reelected and get off. Fuck everybody else who starved or froze to death in the mean time.
The fascinating part is his supporters wanting this too even though they would bear the brunt of the economic fallout.

I don’t think he gets what it means *if* he were to become president either. It’s not like the economy would instantaneously bounce back and go: *poof – all better* if he were to take office. It takes years to turn it back around, as we’ve seen.

He knows damn well. He also knows all he has to do is point the finger at Biden, and 34% of the voting public will believe him. But he wants people to suffer, wants them to be angry at the current administration. It’s his path to victory.
And yet, many working families will STILL support him.
The worst thing that could happen to MAGA is for things to keep chugging along just fine despite them. It’s killing them that we haven’t all died from the vax or crashed the economy.
