Abermenai Point. You’ll get her by walking to the very end of Llanddwyn Beach (History in comments!)

  1. Historically, this is the place where a ferry man would take you from mainland Wales to Anglesey/Ynys Môn. Gruffudd ap Cynan in the 11th Century described this place as being the entryway to the island, and Daniel Dafoe recorded a ferry journey here in 1725 while he was on his way to Holyhead.

Before the Menai and Britannia Bridge, Abermenai Point was where travellers to Anglesey would cross to.
