Footage from inside burning Japan Airlines plane shows moment aircraft catches fire

Terrifying footage from the inside of a Japan Airlines plane shows the moment the aircraft catches fire on landing at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on Tuesday 2 January 2024.

Flames can be seen emitting from the fuselage and wing of the plane while smoke fills the cabin.

All 367 passengers and crew were evacuated from the plane though it is thought the passenger jet may have crashed into a Japanese coastguard aircraft.

The whereabouts of five crew on board the coastguard plane are unknown.

  1. This is why you will NEVER EVER get me on a plane fool. lucky escape. v v happy that everyone is okay. how much more shite can Japan take?? got a feeling 2024 isnt going to be any good for anyone

  2. In the west, women would be screaming their heads off. In Japan they use wits and intelligence to try and cope with dangerous situations.

  3. Is this really necessary? Five people killed, but the Independent thinks it's perfectly okay to show scenes leading up to the crash? Where is your humanity!!!

  4. Staying calm, not panicking, and not freaking out, absolutely well managed, the whole world needs to follow that message. Staying calm will literally save your life and many others around you

  5. Japanese really shows that not panicking and stay calm is the best thing. If that was happening in America or Europe and Africa, it will be a deferred story

  6. Um where did the coastguard plane come into it as its not stated until the end of the written script ??? Im confused by reading the info below . It says plane catches fire upon landing , ALL on board are safe but the 5 crew from jet are missing —- hence my confusion

  7. Nothing to do with the quake people (BBC News). But the coastguard plane struck trying to save survivors from quake. Go figure. Figure it out. It seems reporters can't put 2 plus 2 together these days.

  8. Everyone is calm because they're on the ground. If they were up in the air at 30,000 feet and fire like that happened they'd all be shitting fuckin bricks

  9. "Please remain seated and calm we had collision on landing and plane is on fire but we are starting evacuation soon. Just listen to instructions of flight attendants, thank you."

  10. But I live in Japan and then when I was sleeping, I heard loud bang from the airport or something and and then I wake up and I checked the news and I saw this I actually cried😢😢😢😢😢
