  1. Do not read the comments on the other page if you are enjoying your morning

  2. Thought Muslims already had a way to know which way to pray?

  3. Mildly interesting indeed. I don’t know if they still do it but I remember back in the day almost all hotel rooms (outside the Muslim world) would have the Bible in the bedside table. I know hotel rooms in the Gulf will usually have a Quran. I wonder what’s common in hotels in London these days.

  4. That’s actually quite a nice and thoughtful touch.

  5. I’m a man of the cloth and I hate that these muslins are taking over.

  6. Such a welcoming touch but I’d still double check the qibla because some arseholes would change it

  7. Since the Earth is a globe it should be angled about 20º downwards, because the prayers need to go through the Earth. Otherwise they are going perpendicular to Earth’s surface and will just go out into space. Unless prayers are refracted by the atmosphere to follow Earth’s curvature, not sure if there are any studies on that.

  8. Travelodge *removes bibles from hotel rooms to avoid offending non-Christians*

Reddit “Good riddance, religion has no place in the 21st century!”

London hotel *sticks arrows in their rooms pointing towards Mecca*

Reddit “it’s not hurting anyone, stop being racist!”

  9. Do you think the person who was last staying in your room might have left it there accidentally? Can’t imagine that being common place in many hotels considering the direction will be different across each room.

Edit: I don’t think the comments should be taken so seriously lol, reddit is the place for roasts. Everyone gets it. Funny fact: if the direction were changed while the person intended to face the Qibla, it would be as though they were actually facing it due to their intentions.
Have a good day moving arrows around on the ceiling of hotels!

  10. Unconditional love. But if you face the wrong direction when talking to yourself with your head on the floor, tut tut!

Also don’t be gay. Or a woman. Or think for yourself.

  11. I mean, ok. That’s awesome and doesn’t do any harm to anyone. It shows something. Inclusion, sort of but yet not. Exclusive to this worship. I am more of an ilk that people that practice their religions pretty much know what’s going on with it.

  12. Doesn’t really matter which way you face because the earth is spherical so unless you point downwards too your prayer is just flying off into space.

  13. What about a light saber for jedi? Both are based on fictitious fairy tales.
