Portsmouth FC head coach: Portsmouth cannot terminate the loan unless Man City wants to, he’s probably put until the end of the season, willing to terminate it if Man City want the player to do recovery in Manchester.

He was a very important player for Portsmouth after a bad loan for Ross County last season. 100% would have been someone we’d have taken on loan again next season if we go up.
In half a season Robertson played 23 league games and 26 games in all competitions.
Everton Scouts were apparently looking at him at Pompey games. Think he’s one of those players like Gavin Bazunu who don’t really have the potential for Man City but he will play in the Premier League for someone, and the loan here definitely helped him. Hopefully Man City will keep loaning us players given both Robertson and Bazunu got a lot of games, hopefully we go up to the Championship again and can get even better loan players from you then.
It’s been so long since City have played Portsmouth. Portsmouth are one of the last major teams in the English league that Pep Guardiola hasn’t faced yet.
