That’s pretty massive. Of course the far left is going to attack Biden for “not doing anything” on climate change
Note that the US population grew by 88 million between 1991 and 2023. One can debate how meaningful numbers like the GDP are, when much of the value captured in that number is just moving stocks around on balance sheets. But the economy has most certainly grown.
Note that methane emissions are higher, and that has catastrophic short term warming potential. But it is fairly easy to stop some of the biggest leaks, and [the IRA has provisions for that.](https://www.epa.gov/inflation-reduction-act/methane-emissions-reduction-program)
