  2. Would any opponent even truly have a chance to win? It could be a landslide loss for Putin but it probably wouldn’t even matter, he would show trump how it’s done lol

    Altho I’m sure even if everyone voted against Putin, they would still say everyone voted for him

  3. Unfortunately the words of a presidential ‘candidate’ are completely meaningless in a country that operates as Russia currently does. We already know who’s going to be ‘elected’.

  4. I watched a video that suggested they may want, at the very least, a more static and less explosive conflict anyway. They need their production (military vehicles, missiles, etc.) to exceed expenditure so they can rearm.

    The theory suggests that if they can create a window of peace or at least stagnant conflict, they can potentially rearm for an assault on the Balkans by 2027.

What if any countries would terrorize their own people about for example “a Canadian vs American “ war if that ever happened. No. They wouldn’t. Enough with the crisis. Enough. Referencing art of ancient peoples these news stories everyday are fire breathing dragons on a wall. The people who have the power should be addressing these issues. How do powerless citizens being relentlessly terrorized by media help morale in society, peace in society? The intent seems far from resolve and geared towards inspiring fear to maintain control.

    no volunteers accepted to his hq, addresses listed as regional hq after visiting appear to be belonging to other companies and not even rented while their contact phones are silent

    Guy could gather more support in russia but since he don’t do bare minimum it’s obvious his role is only to participate, but not contest

  35. Presidential “candidate” hahahah.

    My wife’s grandfather works as a campaign manager for the communist party and he’s talked about how much bullshit it is. The vast majority of Russians know the government is messed up but lack the power to change it. Even most older, more traditional Russians I’ve met don’t support the war, but don’t dare be public about it.

  39. Boris Nadezhdin is his name, since the headline doesn’t say it. What’s interesting about him is he’s not new to politics and has been elected in various more local government bodies in the past. Listening to him, I believe he is genuine and not just a plant by the Kremlin. On the other hand, it’s very likely that he won’t be allowed to run like the other anti-war candidate who was already denied due to clerical errors in the application.

  40. I was suprised they let Nadezhdin on the ballot. He’s been the only guy on those Russian TV rage-fests who has actually criticized the logic about… everything. Granted its been some time since i’ve seen him on RussiaMediaMonitor, but te’s at least clear eyed that (a) the ukrainians are not nazis, (b) the ukrainians aren’t just american puppets and very much hate the russians enough to keep fighting, and (c) he sees through the propaganda about daily victories.

    He is also one of the few who hasn’t tried to dehumanize ukrainians, at least where i’ve seen.
