Twitter sceptics propelled a study on Antarctic ice-shelves to become the most talked-about climate paper of 2023. To see the paper “being used as evidence to suggest that climate change isn’t happening” was a “real surprise”, says a study author, because the paper “doesn’t make any such statement”.
