Ignore government guidance and introduce stricter Covid rules at school, teaching unions tell members

  1. The union advice is actually sensinble in trying to keep schools open and reduce transmission around school. Reducing transmission in school is the only way schools can guarentee they won’t have to move to virtual lessons due to staff shortages.

The article seems very anti-teacher though, just seeing any idea in a negative light. Things like combining classes is simply pointless and I’m vehemently oposed to it. Not only could it double the number of students in an enclosed space, it is no better than vortual lessons. As a teacher, I can tell you that if I had to combine with another class, the students would not be learning a normal lesson as it isn’t feasable to do so.
