Help me choose a name for this little guy, thinking of clutch or bear. What do you think?

  1. I know you don’t like human names but hear me out.. I was in the park the other day and someone was shouting for Frank.. Frank is their black lab.. so technically it’s a human and dog name now.

    So I suggest Frank

  2. Jesus he has an awful look of a Ted to me.

But not just that. Think of how much Karma you could get on this sub, it’s raining? Take a photo of Ted at the door and caption it “looks like rain Ted” and rake in all the sweet Internet points for a cute dog and Fr Ted reference.

My aunt actually named her dog Ted, but not for that reason. He’s a cool dog and I think it’s a good dog name.

Not to mention you want something you can have multiple people calling him. Like Ted would be his formal name, but if you’re in a babying mood you could call him Teddy, short for Teddy Bear, which he will undoubtedly grow to be.

Edit: Holy jesus all the spelling and autocorrect mistakes.

Edit 2: How could I forget how I met your mother! ‘haaaaaaave you met Ted?’

  3. Whatever you do don’t let your kids decide.

Our wee one started Irish around the same time as we got a black lab/ setter mix. We said she could name him.
His name is Bó. As in Cow.

  4. “Polo” is the first name that came to mind. Mainly because I was thinking how he’s the opposite of white and not a polor bear.

He looks like a “Polo” to me

  5. A good one is to try “bear” in other languages. I used to have an Alaskan malamute, HUGE doggo, more of a bear really. So I called him Kuma, Japanese for bear.
