My Uncle has given me tomato seeds that have descended down from a mother plant from 1957. A lady fled with the seeds from Hungary during the Hungarian revolution and they have been harvested and sown ever since

  1. I’m aware that the revolution was in 1956, not 1957, my bad 🙂

  2. Do they still… “work”? Travel to Budapest and plant it on Rákosi’s grave out of spite.

  3. I wish more Hungarians remembered and honored the heroes from our revolution against Russia, and more importantly, I wish Hungarians recognized Russia hasn’t strayed from its oppressive ways ever since. Instead of embracing them, their ways, and making friends w Putin, we ought to shun them – just like the rest of Europe. Especially considering our not-so-distant, unfortunately shared history.

    Cool seeds btw!

  4. Cool, but guess what! My tomato plants have descended down from a mother plant that Christopher Columbus brought to Europe in 1493!
