Prices are falling for TVs, cars and gasoline, says US Treasury Secretary. Secretary Yellen highlighted on Wednesday cooling inflation and an economy continuing to defy recession predictions. Television prices are down by 28%, used cars by 11% and gasoline is down almost $2 a gallon from its peak.

  1. Makes sense a lot of the increase were supply chain issues once those resolved the demand for TVs isn’t infinite. Used cars still blow me away as people buying them up like they would last forever was crazy. It takes time but housing will also normalize and then we will be back to growth at all costs.

  2. Please let her know we can’t eat a TV. Car or drink gas the dumb sob

  3. Tvs are downs because they are a want item and everyday items cost more now. So people arent carelessly spending money on new tvs, which means there’s less demand so they need to decrease price

  4. She thinks our concerns are TVs, cars and Gas. Why is she still working for the government if she just creates spin?

  5. Awesome!!!! I knew I needed 5 more flat screens in my house to go with the 7 I already have. This will allow me to have 2 in each room and in my bathrooms and the attic!!!!!!

  6. Tv’s we bought a tv 4 years ago and honestly don’t plan to get a new one until the current one breaks.
Cars we got 2 already paid off and not planning on new ones since those run. Both are 10+ years old one had a big issue recently but was cheaper to sink money into it and keep it going rather then getting a new car and having a 600+$ payment. Gas yeah it’s getting a bit cheaper but honestly if gas is 20-30-50 even 80 cents lower it doesn’t matter that much when your car has a 12-15 gallon tank and can make 300ish miles per tank.

So everything grandma says is not really helping anyone. I can bet that there are lots of people thinking the same way we are.
