After listening to Haley recently, I think she is the only candidate that Trump would debate. Man is she awful at anything other than giving a pre written speech.
Honestly, Christie dropping out is HUGE for Haley. It might give her the edge to come in 2nd in Iowa, and then a path to potentially win New Hampshire. r/conservative is in denial about her realistic shot at getting 30%+ in NH.
Christie was pulling around 12% there. DeSantis supposedly is dropping out after Iowa. Even if only a few of his supporters go to Haley, nearly all of Christie’s will go to her, meaning she has VERY real shot at beating Trump there. The reason Trump has polled so damn high is people just assume he’s inevitable. If she wins NH, that blows up this air of inevitability. Could be huge as they head into her home state right after.

Oh tonight’s debate just got better – Haley has to be clearly better than Desantis without insulting his supporters. She has to make a case that she has a path to the nomination if Desantis supporters come to her.

Is it time to change the primary process for President? We have not had a single primary and people have already dropped out. The primary process is over after the Iowa caucus and the New Hampshire primary. The other 48 states have no say in how the nominees are chosen. New Hampshire has a ridiculous law that says they have to be the first US primary. How can a state make a state law that impacts the federal government? Maybe it’s time for a one day national primary. These rally’s of people already committed to a candidate are a monumental waste of time and money. One state didn’t know what another state was doing back in the 1700’s and 1800’s. But now we have 24 hour news and the internet. Let’s have a national primary where every state gets to have a say in who the party nominees will be.
They were all fine with trump while they personally benefitted. After there was nothing in it for them, they came out and told the truth. Liz Cheney is not a hero, and neither are the people who testified. As long as the train they were on was giving them prestige and power, they were happy to lie to the American people.

My favorite story Romney told was about when trump would come visit the Senate every week and the senators would clap and pat him on the back and tell him how wonderful he was. As soon as trump left the room, they’d burst into laughter because he was such a fking idiot.
