  1. Getting ready for a court case by the sounds of things, anyone who named him on social media should start getting worried.

  2. Fucking IDIOTS. Idiots idiots idiots. I understand the anger, pain and the want for justice, and at the time of this man’s arrest for all we knew he was the one but Jesus Christ, lynching the first person without any information or confirmation? let the guards do their jobs. I’d like to see justice as much as the next person, but I also wouldn’t want to see someone innocent have their life ruined by internet vigilantes.

  3. I wonder how many times they told him they knew it was him and he was going to jail for life no matter what, assuming they hadn’t been kicking the shit out of him.

Varadkar just said if it was a leak it’d be serious matter. Did he get brain damage when he was younger?

  4. This wouldn’t be an issue if the courts weren’t so lenient on actual criminals. It’s a criminal offence to share the identities of Anna Kreigal’s killers so scumbags who do this shit have to be pre-emptively doxed.
It’s a tough pill to swallow but at least they’re attempting to be proactive, not just sitting on their arses sharing trendy hashtags. They fucked up and blamed the wrong guy and I’m sure they’ll pay for it rightfully so but save the outrage for the source of problem, the courts.
You can talk all day about how men need to do better but that means nothing and scumbags like whoever did this aren’t going to do better because of your virtue signalling. We need boots on the ground protesting the court system because these scumbags who hurt and kill women are always shown leniency.

  5. I don’t get it. Like these people doxxing are adults as well, why would you do that? Are you that incapable of controlling your emotions that you can’t help it or are you doing it because you’re that desperate to seem socially righteous that you would be willing to completely disregard the legal system and go to mob justice with all your evidence being Twitter posts and a whatsapp screenshot from here or Facebook? Like genuinely what is wrong with people, a woman was murdered, the Garda will investigate, he will probably be found and jailed. No he won’t get a slap on the wrist, no he won’t get a suspended sentence and no the gardai aren’t going to be lazy because it’s a woman that was killed or whatever. Leave the conspiracy ramblings at home, get off the internet and let the actual proper people deal with it because anything else will just cause harm to the case or push a divide for no reason other than smug self satisfaction

  6. The story is so bizarre. A women comes across the assault, the guy runs off, then the gards bring this guy in overnight. What evidence would they have been going on in the first place?

  7. This is the whole reason I never comment on an ongoing investigation wait till bloody charges are brought. This entire debacle hasn’t done the gardai or citizen journalism any good.

  8. Before FB is was a thing there was a murder nearby. She had kept to herself but had told a friend shed been having an affair with a local married man. Every local man was brought in for questioning until DNA ruled them out but that took weeks at the time.

For those couple of weeks each one of them and their families were subjected to hell by their community, and neighbours. In the end a local unmarried man who been passed over in the initial swab sweep confessed.

I can’t imagine what it’s like to be trialed by social media now.

  9. The media should never be told when people are brought in for questioning, only when people have actually been charged with a crime.

Most people would just assume it’s an open and shut case when they hear that people have been arrested and it may even hurt the investigation as people with information may believe it’s not needed anymore since arrests have been made.

Then of course you have the vigilantes on social media (Reddit included) who do shit like this and vilify a man for no good reason.
