I just read in this subreddit that the landlord, by law, is entitled to the costs of changing the name label tag of the apartment and not the tenant.
I recently got my deposit back from an apartment I rented through MrLodge and in the transaction description, there is 20 euros included in what was deduced that was for the name tag changing.

Anyone faced something similar ? It’s still money but it’s no big deal for me to go to court over 20 euros, especially since I’m new here in Germany and everything. How common is this ?

Have you read the house rules? Maybe it said that your name should be put on the doorbell? You didn’t do it, so your landlord did and billed you for it
