1. At cost of having millions of downvotes:

   Preserved from what? At the moment it’s a depot for boats, just few trees and not much more.

   Have you ever seen a real natural park? Natural parks are meant to have trees, not just rocks

   There’s people washing their horses in the water at the moment… let the island turn into a proper civilized place for god sake.

2. People have been protesting against it for quite a while, hopefully this will continue. Apart from everything it’s really stupid how the tender for manoel island/tigne doesn’t seem to have stipulated that the restored spaces in both forts need to be made open to the public…as in, what was the point of restoring them if nobody can ever see them? So far it’s just been a win win for midi. We lost the community spaces at tigne, we lost the yacht club on manoel island and for what? Shops and flats.

3. Is housing for posh people really what we need?
