  1. If you are stupid enough to go to Russia, you bought your own ticket

  2. Any American would be smart to avoid Russia like the plague. Scratch that, anyone would be smart to.

  3. I generally advocate for people traveling and if you are up to it mentally, some good lighthearted recreational drug use…but not in Russia. Dude has got coming what he’s got coming.

  4. He moved there almost ten years ago looking for his Bio mom, only recently was it decided he was a drug dealer.

  5. Foreigners in Russia had better accept that they’re now basically currency.

    Get. The. Fuck. Out.

  6. I will NEVER travel to Russia.

An entire corrupt criminal justice system, They could simply take you to a secure room, a custom agent could take out a bag of weed from their pocket, show it to you, open your suitcase, drop it in. Then arrest you for smuggling drugs, you will be in Prison for 20+years,

You could try to argue, but they have 5 other custom agents in the room at the time, who saw them open your suitcase with weed in it. Sitting right in top.

Putin will use you as a pawn.

  7. Why are people travelling to a country they are at war with and then acting surprised the other country detains them?

  8. Same guy who posted on FB that when would serve his country (Russia) if drafted after the Ukrainian war started?

    Fuck him

  9. sucks it’s like this. my wife is from russia and her family is there. we’d love to visit someday but can’t risk me, my wife or daughter having any issues like this. sad

  10. Russia has very harsh drug laws, due to Article 228, “narodnaya statya” or “the people’s article”.

If somone is caught with >2.5 grams of Heroin or >6 grams of marajuana, it’s a criminal offence, and they can impose 10 – 20 years sentence. This is because, over this amount, you’re considered a drug dealer.

Russians draconian drug laws are abused of course. The police will find drugs on political opponents.

Also, Russia is ravaged by drugs, this punitive approach has failed. In 2015, almost 3% of the population were intravenous drug users.

  11. Im pretty sure he renounced his US citizenship years ago…

  12. I understood this guy moved to Russia willingly because of family ties.

  13. Remember when russia said they were building a whole village for ex-pats 🤣🤣🤣

  14. Yeah you’re stuck there bud.fooking idiot stayed in russia hahaha.

  15. Seems more accurate to say “Man born in Russia who decided after being raised in the US foster system to return to what he considers home several years ago, arrested for crime”, but that’s not really international news.

  16. It’s hard for me to feel bad for idiots. He knew that there is a conflict with Russia by the US and still traveled there smh

  17. Just a reminder, that Robert wrote in his FB on Sept 25, 2022 that he will be ok if he will be drafted to the ru army:

    To my friends & family,
For those who are worried about my safety out here in Russia with the current situation and the draft to military service. I’m currently okay. I have not recivied my letter yet. I am not in support of this war, but if my letter to arms comes, I will not turn away. I know this sounds like a stupid choice, but remember…. America had done the same back during the Vietnam War……

  18. This is the guy that said he would go fight against Ukraine if he received his letter to do so from Russia, saying the U.S. has done it in Vietnam

  19. Lived in Russia already 10 years willingly. Nah they can keep him

  20. Russia arrests another American on trumped-up charges in an effort to extract concessions from the US. Don’t go to Russia.

  21. They act like there aren’t Russians in the US we could arrest on BS charges too lol

  22. Great, let’s see what horrific criminal the US trades this time.

  23. Why are we allowing US citizens to still be there or travel there period being Russia is known to false detain and use as a bargaining chip

  24. Nah thats just BS, I bet they just snatch a random american in moscow and planted the drugs and made up those charges

  25. If your a US citizen and in Russia you’re asking to get screwed over. As the regime gets more desperate, this will happen again and again.

  26. Why is an American even there? That’s like going to North Korea at this point.

  27. Oh well. His choice to live in a despotic dictatorship.

Is that haircut that he’s sporting there still the standard for maga white supremacists?

  28. From the picture I could swear that Robert Woodland is just a pseudonym used by Richard Spencer.

  29. Americans traveling to Russia these days are stupid!

  30. Let’s be honest, every American that goes to Russia after February 2022 is not the smartest.

Though my former boss actually went to Russia after the invasion. For family reasons and he was not arrested or anything.
