  1. It’s popular because its the essence of the polish milienial Facebook humour

  2. Is it subtitled so that you can hear the Polish language spoken? My Mum is a native Polish speaker and I was hoping for this. Or is it in American language?

  3. It’s popular, opinions wildly differ, which itself is good, because it is generating discussions making it even more known. Also people east of Poland seem to watch it too.

  4. I loved it to pieces, it touches touchy social/national subjects the way my Polish teachers wouldnt like 9/10 missed more JP2 jokes

  5. There is no 2160p HDR version on torrents for my archive. My disappointment is unmeasurable and my day is ruined.

  6. It’s full of corpo-rat humour in historical costumes. Not my cup of tea.

  7. I’m American and I’m its hilarious. First episode sold me hard

  8. I think it is the beat received Polish comedy show of the last years. Personally I think the jokes are predictable and very flat, kind of like glorified kabaret

  9. I find it hysterical and very true about Polish flaws. But it’s not funny to everyone, and also is quite left-leaning.

  10. It’s literally The Office but 17th century. I think you will not get most of the jokes unless you are familiar with Polish internet and its humour. Tons of the jokes will be lost in the translation.

  11. I personally loved it. I don’t usually like modern Polish comedy, but it wasn’t as cringy as I was afraid it would. There were moments I even laughed outloud at satirical references. Overall, nice, pretty short and pretty funny at times.

  12. It is very popular looking at stats, and a lot of people find it funny. I laughed quite a lot, and I’m not a big fan of standard Polish standup.

  13. For me it was trying to be “too funny” – there wasn’t a single dialog without trying to squeeze in a joke. I expected something else, but then again – I watched it all and didn’t really regret. I’d say a good watch, I know people who loved it.

  14. There are some funny jokes but it’s trying too hard to be funny. Production quality is very high though.

  15. Regrettably only watched one episodes so far but as the descendant of impoverished rural Polish aristos I’m loving the representation 🙌

  16. It’s funny in Polish. Subtitles (English) are not doing it justice as some is lost in translation. Additionally, you must be familiar with Polands recent and not so recent history as well as social and political sentiments to get the “Full Monty” of jokes and comedy.

  17. It’s not bad, it has some pretty good jokes, but comapred to what likely was its inspiration, “Norsemen”, it’s mediocre.

  18. Watched it with my girlfriend. Havent laughed this hard on a series in a looooong time. Its very.good humour, and love the characters. Sorta wished it was longer than 8 episodes….highly recommend it!

  19. German guy here, who is not quite sure why he frequently get this sub recommended, i love the show

  20. Bare in mind that not knowing polish you will lose a lot of meaning.

    Many jokes cannot be translated.

Moreover Netflix censors all the edgy jokes in English translation. Like a lot of them. It’s way less funny
    E.g. The Ż joke

  21. This is brillant. But you must know history of Poland to understand many jokes
