But at least we have national sovereignty, i.e., we can send/receive migrants to/from Rwanda!
No because there was a bus…and it had writing on it…I remember people saying we would be better off…they wouldn’t have lied to us…governments don’t do that right?…right?
Can’t wait for people to say this is false because.
That reminds me – I need to get my blue passport, made in the Netherlands, sorted so I can get my money’s worth.
It’s only cost about 5 grand each.
Actually, what they need to do is to bill the 17 million that voted for it the 21 grand that they each now owe for their mistake.
The people who were fed the lies about being better off after brexit should be angrier than those of us who voted out and knew this was coming.
Being British is driving a German car, watching American shows on a Korean TV, travelling on a French-assembled airplane, eating Indian curry with Spanish fruits and Japanese meat, employing European engineers and Caribbean nurses, all while criticising anything do to that is foreign.
So a total cost of £451 BILLION in 19 years.
That’s £456m a week.
The said we would be £350m a week better off.
We’re actually £450m a week worse off.
_Brexit? Oh you must mean you want less white european immigration._
Furious wanking detected in r/unitedkingdom as members feel validated in their vote on brexit.
Look on the plus side.
Pound is in the toilet.
£311bn is worth less now than before.
This is, in fact, not a loss but a saving.
Imagine what a £311bn loss would be like if the pound were still strong.
Every cloud, and all that.
Are the people who wanted it worse off though? Has Mogg taken a hit, are Aaron Bank’s billions reduced, is retired Reg from Hartlepool any worse off than he already was?
But the tax havens are safe for the wealthy so that’s something.
These studies always paint a wrong picture. That 311 billion would not end up in the hands of the lower and middle class, but rather to FTSE businesses and the upper classs
This isn’t actually a “true value” loss either. They promised we’d be £277bn better off by that point MINIMUM (£350m a week for 15 years from Jan 2020).
So in reality, we will be £588bn worse off than the campaign promise. Don’t let them get away with calling it anything less so they can try and cut back the damage they have done to us all.
Just think, that could’ve just about paid for a complete HS2 with a conservative government 👀
‘ commissioned by London’s mayor, Sadiq Khan ‘
And I’m out…
Any time soon we’ll hear of the Brexit benefits.
The amount of people who were lied to is unbelievable. I really hope ITV makes a documentary on the corruption so that the government actually does something for once.
The referendum was a venal act of political selfishness by a Conservative Party desperate to cling to power as they hoped that by doing it they could put an end to UKIP syphoning away their voters.
Not only has it not made that threat go away but in the process it has poisoned British politics, led to justifiable claims by Scotland for independence, and crippled large areas of the economy for the foreseeable future.
My only criteria for voting now is for a party which will pledge a new referendum to get the UK back into the EU as soon as possible. If that means adopting the Euro and social charter so much the better as hopefully Farage will still be alive for it to give him a massive heart attack.
/New report suggests Tory pals £100’s billions better off after insider policy tips betting against the UK and selling off assets in a fire sale./
lol everyone who believed this nonsense are idiots
Another report which assumes a number of things which are unlikely to occur. Nothing new.
Anna Soubry, the most fervently pro-European minister in the cabinet, has escalated her long-running feud with Nigel Farage by accusing the Ukip leader of seeking to “cover up the serious consequences” of a UK exit from the EU.
What’s terrifying is that no leaders are willing to admit it was a bad idea.
Clearly, the wrong type of Brexit.
With the *right* kind, the sunlit lands, imperial measurements and cheaper cheese and fish are within our grasp.
