  1. Our authorities are an absolute joke. Seriously.

It’s a clownshow in state departments.

  2. And people want “mass deportations?” We can barely enforce the laws we already have.

  3. Wow…that’s a whole special level of incompetence.

  4. I mean they were in an Asylum Centre not prison. They were free to leave.

  5. They wanted to go to the UK not Ireland. Making a joke out of the system. No deterrent

  6. Realised it wasn’t much warmer than the fridge outside

  7. ‘’Senior sources have told the Irish Independent that they are not being sought by gardaí as they are not under criminal investigation.’’

‘’An investigation into human trafficking is currently underway’’

‘’Gardaí had not yet been able to formally interview any of the migrants as none spoke English.’’

Would the guards not want to bring them back & ask them how it came about coming here & who did they contact ?? Feel sorry for any immigrant as this is gonna add fuel to the fire of hatred for them!

  8. A proper law and order party would sweep up at election time.
Instead we’ll elect dumb and dumber again and their rotating leadership of mediocrity.

  9. >The migrants, which include 10 Kurdish people from Iran and Iraq, including two girls aged six and four years, as well one person from Turkey and three from Vietnam, were discovered on a vessel, coming from Zeebrugge in Belgium, at 3am on Monday morning.

    >They had to cut a hole in the side of the container as they were struggling to breathe. UK authorities had alerted gardaí and emergency services were awaiting their arrival at the port.

WTF,they discovered em struggling and done nothing to help…what’s gone wrong with people

  10. Good thing refugees/migrants are not a major topic at the moment. /s

I wonder do the State even know the true identities of these people? Odds are they are fine, upstanding people but without checking their backgrounds it’s hard to be certain.

Very bad timing for the government. Reasonable people will be concerned I would think and the lunatic fringe will use this to stir things up even more.

    Fun times.

  11. “not being sought by gardaí”. Surely this will just encourage smugglers since it shows it does work and they can just stay once they arrive

  12. Honestly seems intentional at this stage. What a joke.

  13. who knew it was that easy to traffic people into Ireland. Just wait until the Guards are off getting their breakfast rolls and then just pull a legger

  14. If their intended destination was the UK then presumably that is where they are headed. Should give the others a packed lunch and a ferry ticket.

  15. So the parents that endangered their children by putting them in a container which almost killed them due to no air will get off? I hate to think this might be more sinister and those children aren’t there’s.

  16. Oh no! They got away… from somewhere they were free to leave at any time.

What incentive would we have for stopping them from making their way to the UK?

We can’t force them to claim asylum here. Sure they broke the law, but is it really worth prosecution? Do we honestly expect they could pay the fine?

I’m sure the UK tabloids will be howling about this, just like they do about people leaving France, but so what.

  17. Country is becoming a global joke at this stage.

    Open borders galore.

  18. They’ll turn up once they realise they can’t get accommodation

  19. They should have a look in the escort sites in a week or so. One or two will pop up there is say.

  20. More fool them. There were houses waiting for them plus hundreds of euro a week in welfare.

  21. Reminds me of the shambles of ‘Mandatory Quarantine’ where arrivals simply fecked off out the front door. Whats with Ireland and having no consequences for breaking rules?

  22. Someone explain to me why illegal immigrants who are caught can’t be detained and sent back home? I actually don’t understand it

  23. Claim asylum for an imaginary war in Tunisia, have a baby ASAP, apply for a free council house, get a doctors note for back pain and bingo.. from poverty to owning a house in Ireland with weekly pay cheques. Can’t say I blame them. Hats off to our beyond incompetent goverment.

  24. Ireland is seen as a joke to criminals, fraudsters and scammers thanks to the incompetence of our government.
