The shipyard was located on both banks of the river Aura visible in the center of the photo. The shipyard moved away from the city center in 80s and has operated there since.

Looks like Turku was much more developed before than what it is today.
I like that picture. Different from our classic British industrial scenes, it doesn’t have the innate grey grimness. Thanks for sharing
I’ve always wondered what that looked like when it was In operation. I used to live just a few minutes walk from there, thanks for sharing this
