Goddamn I just finished Returnal on the PS5 and it just gives off major Edge of Tomorrow vibes. I hope this rumor comes to fruition

That said, I would watch it. Even though he is crazy, Cruise makes good movies.
For this who haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend you all read the graphic novel or light novel the movie was based off of. So damn good. “All you need is kill”

I landed on Edge of Tomorrow last weekend looking for something to watch. That movie is incredible and I can’t believe I slept on it this long.
It would be like a sequel to groundhogs day. … maybe it was a sequel. Set in future.

Where is Shelly Miscavige?
I absolutely love this movie, but I think the moment has passed in terms of a studio being able to capitalize on demand for a sequel. To the extent that they were concerned years ago about expense and profitability, I could only see that picture getting worse with every day that passes. To say nothing of the fact that Cruise needs the next Mission to be wildly successful if he wants to prove that Fallout and Maverick weren’t his apex.
No thanks. This was a project the studios had no faith in. They kept changing the title and while I like Cruise it felt like he was attached to draw people in more. Would have preferred a lesser known or newer actor, Hollywood has really given up trying to create new action stars
Just release the same film again with a 2 added to the title.
We need rules on movie sequels; like they can’t be more than 10 years apart and can’t copy the first’s story.
Jokes on thr viewers, there is another omega behind the scenes and the first movie was really just a Scifi version of Groundhog Day
