This is no doubt a result of the UNSC resolution passed yesterday, giving Prosperity Guardian the green light to enforce the terms of the resolution.

However we can’t keep sending warnings. They clearly have 0 effect at deterrence and subsequently make us look weak. The Houthis have carried out at least 27 attacks on commercial vessels since mid November. US warships have shot down at least 61 ballistic missiles and drones in the same time period. Yesterday being the largest attack yet with 20+ drones and missiles.
The safety of our sailors, our allies’ sailors, multinational civilian shipping crews, and resilience of our global economy overall are paramount. All things considered, fuck it and torch the rebel bastards.

They made a mistake when they tried to disrupt those big cargo ships. That’s the worlds economy at stake. All those cargo companies have to do is say “we aren’t risking our ships by sailing here” and then you get the worlds military stepping in to clean it up.
