I’m reading a book from 1996 in which the main character has almost the same career path. (Work for some dodgy companies, donates piles of cash to the Tories and is eventually rewarded with a cushy government number (in this case, running an NHS trust) that allows him to earn even more cash on the side through some under the table deals.) So it’s not an accident this cunt has ended up where he is, it’s how they operate.
[e]In the book, the character was also awarding lucrative company contracts to businesses he owned himself through various shell companies to obfuscate his connection with them. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was still going on either.
Absolute scum. some people commited suicide over the postal scam. some people really dont care who they hurt as long as they have a nice lavish easy lifestyle.
Where are these Uber jobs advertised? Not all of them go to oxbridge or Eton, but regardless of criminality, stupidity, laziness and dishonesty, they just float from one top paid job to another.
How does someone get onto that gravy train?
I remember a Nigerian friend of mine once observed that the UK is just as corrupt as Nigeria, it’s just that we somehow make it appear less egregious for afar.
