  1. …for now. Cuase contraception is next up on the fascist war on women.

  2. But they aren’t. It’s not even true. The morning-after pill is just the thing that they’re focusing most of their attention on today. They will absolutely ban it and then start in on the contraception. They already openly talk about banning both. And they made these same promises before about abortion. It’s just always lies and escalation. There’s no end to this.

  3. She is a fucking moron. At least her husband has some sense.

She lives in an alternative universe.

  4. Ha ha ha what a joke. Contraceptives are on the way to the Supreme Court too.

  5. “Letting you” that’s not terrifying or chilling at all.

  6. I swear to all that is- these idiots read (ugh who am I kidding- they watched) the Handmaids tale and though- wow- that makes a lotta sense…let’s do that. Failing to notice that the themes are a cautionary tale NOT a GD how to manual.

Theme 1- women’s bodies as political instruments.

Next this lunatic will tell us- don’t be mad that we took away your right to vote or own any property- be happy that you have a husband assigned to you who will take care of all of that. No need to worry your pretty little empty head. Now be a good girl and lay back.

  7. Girl… we’re not all out here re-enacting codependent abuse trauma. Keep that toxic rhetoric to yourself.

  8. ”I kicked you, but I’m not gonna punch you. Ain’t I nice?”

  9. “I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it any further.”

    – Republicans

  10. …for now. They have every intention of going after contraceptives, too. They just don’t have the public support to do so after getting banned in multiple states. Once they have power, they will take away everything they can.

  11. I honestly don’t know how George can live in the same house as her.

  12. Letting us, Really?

We all know that this option will last until the next time congress is in. Republican hands.

Some of them are already screaming for it to be the law of the land.

  13. Except there have already been multiple attempts to ban and criminalize contraception so…

  14. Even if they did leave contraception alone, why would women go for republicans because of that? With democrats in power they could codify Roe and have both abortion access and contraception.

That, and you can’t believe a word republicans say.

  15. > Using an extremely strange analogy, Independent Women’s Voice CEO Heather Higgins told the outlet, “Republicans are like your uncle, who really loves you and loves the women in his family, but he’s bad about showing it. It’s just not in their natural vocabulary. And we’re trying to help them learn how to make this be more part of their vocabulary and tell them that they need to talk about these things that their constituents all support, and be more visible and vocal.”

Yeah, that crazy MAGA uncle that thinks 1/6 was an FBI/Antifa false flag, Michelle Obama is really a man, Biden stole the election and then talks about how much they love contraception (fuck you Catholics!) right before they try to win the Catholics back by banning it.

  16. Yes, yes. Use those exact words–that’ll have women running back to vote for Trump.

  17. “We’re letting you keep contraception”

We’re letting you keep… what a bunch of shit.

  18. Nope, not for long. The court’s conservatives have contraceptives squarely in their sights as the next target.

  19. >“Republicans are like your uncle, who really loves you and loves the women in his family, but he’s bad about showing it. It’s just not in their natural vocabulary. And we’re trying to help them learn how to make this be more part of their vocabulary and tell them that they need to talk about these things that their constituents all support, and be more visible and vocal.”

Republicans are like your uncle in another very important way: your use of contraception or need for an abortion is almost certainly none of their fucking business.

  20. How did Conway get back into the news cycle all of a sudden? It was so nice when she finally went away and I’m not clear about why she’s starting to get quoted again. What did I miss?

  21. The Forced Birthers lied about reasonable restriction on abortions, so we should expect that the Forced Birthers are also lying about contraception availability.

  22. “We’re banning all books, but letting you keep the Bible”.

  23. but you’re also taking away their contraception… many of these bills proposed would also ban birth control

  24. Fuck the GQP. Nothing could be less reassuring than: “I stole one thing from you, be happy we aren’t stealing more.”

  25. “God, quit sniveling, would you? I only broke *one* of your arms. The other one works totally fine! Why do you have to be such a fucking baby about it?”- The GOP, basically.

  26. Too a large group of Americans who (mistakenly) believed their right to contraception has never been in danger, promising to “let you keep” your contraception sounds more like a threat than reassurance. It’s like if a mob boss tells you he’ll let you keep all your fingers.

  27. Wonder if her daughter still hates her. She’s going to be a sad old woman.

  28. but they’re not. several GOP legislatures have floated contraception bans too.

  29. No they aren’t, they are after contraception as well.

  30. “Letting you keep” smacks of the same kind of high-handed intrusiveness that was behind taking away Roe.

  31. Thanks mommy, I’ll go back to my room now.

Who tf these people think they are???!! I’m so sick of their shit and their nose all up in our business because they ‘believe’ or whatever the fuck
