Seems to be a distraction from the actual invasion into the UK that Conservatives are financially supporting + allowing via small boats etc.
Again, not enough money to feed or house everyone on the UK. Always enough money to be Americas bitch in the middle East. Absolute waste of money putting us all at greater risk of terrorism.
attacks yesterday cost in the region of a billion dollars, and today sunak wants to give ukraine an extra 200 million, any one will tell you that this country is not near bankruptcy and basic services are starting to fail
What did they think would be the result of attacking our cargo ships? Letting them potentially ruin economies is a national security threat.
“PM Rishi Sunak adds that the strikes are “limited, necessary and proportionate action in self-defence”
Self defence? How many UK registered ships have been targeted? Zero……
How is this shit England specific, get it of this sub,
I really disagree with the choice to bomb Yemen. I think it’s nonsensical and expensive. The way to get the Houthi attacks on the trade route to stop, is to stop Israel from bombing Palestine which is what caused this. Regardless of your political opinions on the war, we are currently in a financial crisis and supposedly have no money for healthcare, the homeless, etc. yet we have the billion pounds to spend on arms to fire upon Yemen and donate 400£ million to Israeli arms. Would diplomacy not be the actual smart thing to do rather than instantly go to bombing another country? People have too easily forgotten about the war in Iraq.
Yeah, I know bombing a Middle Eastern country has never worked before and has always backfired horrendously, but I reckon we’re due a win.
To be crystal clear: I am NOT saying this was the wrong thing to do. We can’t allow vessels in shipping lanes to be attacked.
However, it really does worry me how this could escalate.
I had a nightmare shower thought this morning of some future generation talking about how some catastrophic global war started and saying ‘It began with an attack on Israel in 2023.’
I’ve been ill for 2 weeks straight so maybe I missed it, was this debated in parliament? Or is that something we just don’t do anymore?
Jesus Christmas! So many people on here with their head up their arse…the houthis are literally trying to fuck with the world’s economy, talking and warning them wasn’t working…this was clearly gonna be the next logical step
The only problem is that it’s going to be seen as the west ‘interfering’. Action should have been decided by a UN vote
