Which according to his prior (I signed all my businesses to my kids) claim he was doing nothing for them. Yet here we are.
Please he has to go away now.
And both of those countries routinely booked large numbers of rooms that they did not ever use.
Which happens to be a very common money laundry technique
Sounds like more federal charges to me.
Services like selling our top secrets?
“It’s not illegal if I said I did it.”
So he wasn’t a corrupt traitor, he was just an unregistered foreign agent using his public office to further the agenda of a hostile foreign country?
I suppose his folks will say that just makes him a smart businessman, and that whatever Hunter did with his schlong is the real problem.
What a curious thing to say
“It would be very hard to enjoy retirement without presidential immunity.” — Trump, paraphrased to remove the capital letters and spelling mistakes.
Emoluments clause???? wtf
Wouldn’t that be treason?
Funny how Donnie’s always servicing leaders of authoritarian regimes.
>”That’s a small amount of money. You know, it sounds like a lot of money. That’s small,”
This is a man who used his charity to pay for his sons Boy Scouts membership (<$10).
He is the cheapest “rich guy” out there.
No amount of money is too small for him to claim is his.
Spy Magazine proved that in the 80s. They sent checks to celebrities as a gag and kept lowering the amount to see who would keep cashing them.
Trump kept having them cashed even when the total was way under a dollar.
Both a confession of illegal activity and a rare moment of honesty.
Lock him up.
So in just the last couple of days alone we’ve seen:
Trump boasting about taking millions from hostile foreign powers by “doing services” for them while President of the United States.
Trump’s attorney make the argument that Trump would be well within his rights as President to kill members of Congress and political opponents.
Revelations that a high profile member of Trump’s campaign openly discussed having members of Congress killed.
And he probably won’t lose any support.
That’s not “a” problem, per se, it’s “the” problem, per the Constitution.
So Trump admits to doing what MAGA claims Hunter and Joe, by extension, were doing?
That’s exactly the issue. Doing services for foreign entities.
I want a President who thinks running this country is his full time job. Not a bummer obligation between golf outings and grifting with dictators.
Oh I see. Trump was soliciting money from other countries as president because he was doing “services” for them. Nothing to do with being president of course.
Hmm….I guess I won’t ask what those particular “services” were, huh.
And of course, this was all above board; that’s why Repubs in Congress aren’t investigating.
Of course, what was I thinking, huh.
Right Repubs?
This is what being tough on China looks like
Cool cool cool. I was already pretty sure he wasn’t working for US
Serious question: Did he just implicate himself in yet another crime?
Something the president of the us definitely should be doing… Also this is exactly what theyre accusing hunter biden of doing who does not hold any office. Hypocrite fux.
Yeah, we know you were servicing them. That’s the problem.
But seriously, this is why the president needs to be divested from businesses foreign assets can pay into. It’s a huge conflict of interest that a hotel (which lives and dies on bookings) could get a bunch of bookings at *his* hotel contingent on certain foreign policies.
But you know, maybe the guy facing huge fraud fines was all above board! I’m sure someone’s gullible enough to believe that.
I think in context the services Trump was referring to was like ordinary business services, like providing hotel rooms. But it’s still an emolument, and illegal. They made Carter sell his peanut farm, but Trump can use his business empire to launder foreign bribes under the guise of providing business services to traveling dignitaries. It’s complete rubbish that he wasn’t impeached on this about a week into his presidency. Absolutely absurd.
Why is this not more heavily covered by the media?
What a goddamn crook. Thanks GOP for supporting this asshole
Did he just admit to committing treason?
This prick never understood he’s supposed to serve us.
So he confessed to breaking the Emoluments Clause?

Selling out America is a service?
He sold his office. He is a traitor to the United States of America and it’s people.
