  1. >Ahead of meeting President Zelenskyy, Rishi Sunak has also confirmed the UK will provide £2.5 billion in military aid to Ukraine in 2024/25, an increase of £200 million on the previous two years.
The funding will help to leverage the best of UK military expertise and defence production to ensure Ukraine’s victory on the battlefield, including in critical areas like long-range missiles, air defence, artillery ammunition and maritime security.
Of the £2.5 billion, at least £200 million will be spent on a major push to rapidly procure and produce thousands of military drones for Ukraine, including surveillance, long-range strike and sea drones. The technology will give Ukraine cutting edge, battle-tested capabilities to defend their citizens and target the invading Russian forces on land and sea.
This will be the largest delivery of drones to Ukraine from any nation. Most of the drones are expected to be manufactured in the UK, and the Ministry of Defence will work with international partners to significantly scale up the number of drones provided for Ukraine’s defence.

  2. Can we please stop dumping cash down foreign war sinkholes?

  3. Stopping Russia getting to nato is in all our interests. If Russia gets to Nato they will lose, 1000:1 ratio.

    Then, they will fire nukes.

  4. Aren’t some places in UK effectively bankrupt? Or did those goverment workers stopped going to strike every other day?

  5. Based.

We can not allow for Russia to get away with conquering another country. If Russia wins this war others will follow their example and we will enter a new period where war is much more common than it is now.

Ukraine must win and they can only do that if we all support them.

  6. Well, the only people hesitating right now are those Western politicians (looking at you, USA and EU) who for some reason are (as usual) afraid of escalation; little do they (allegedly) understand that in case UA falters, they will be next in the line after RU conquers what they lost during fall of USSR.

History tends to go in circles (or cycles, whichever term you fancy better) and Western world has lived in overabundant prosperity since the end of WW2. RU and her allies might now have as much $ as West does, but they’re much more fearless than West is regarding their geopolitical aims.

If West isn’t stepping up, might as well stop bullshitting others and announce that they’re scared shitless from confrontation. You see, the only people not afraid of fighting RU are Eastern European countries which, unfortunately, have resolve but not material support.

I really hope there are some balls left in the West.

  7. UK gets it. Bravo! I’ve been sluggish on messaging/calling my elected representatives in USA the last two weeks. Time to start that back up. Ukraine needs the support now more than ever.

I’m very glad to hear that there is a heavy drone component from UK as well. Certainly the British will outclass anything Iran can provide Russia.
