So I arrived in Tallinn late Monday night, slept right through until 3PM as you guys are 2 hours ahead of the UK. Used Wednesday to cram as much as I could in; all the museums and viewing points I could get to using the Tallinn card and a 2 hour walking tour which was fabulous.
Got a Flixbus to Riga yesterday arriving early evening. Booked myself on to the Old Town walking tour at 10 this morning. Absolutely loved it and wanted to carry on with the “Alternative tour” covering the market and Moscow district but I was super hungry AND it has been snowing non stop today and around -4°…
So here’s my dilemma. I only booked two nights, I’m off to Vilnius tomorrow. My options are; travel via this tour https://www.rigatraveller.com/tour/riga-vilnius-sightseeing-tour-bus#booking and get to see some of Latvia/Lithuania that I wouldn’t have otherwise and leave at 9AM tomorrow. OR, get a Flixbus later on and book myself onto the alternative walking tour tomorrow at 12.
I won’t lie, walking through this snow today has exhausted me. I took myself to the central market and walked back to my hostel in the old town and now all I really want to do is shower and read a book and pass out!
Anyway, what would you say is a better series of events tomorrow? The 12 hour long trip to Vilnius that will cover things outside of Riga or do another walking tour and get a cheap but boring Flixbus?

Just wanted to give you a heads up about the weekend weather – it’s not looking great. Heavy wind and snow are on the way, and we even got those emergency notifications on our phones. They’re saying it’s best to stay home, work remotely if you can, and avoid going out. (In Lithuania)
Enjoy the snowy weather and it’s gonna snow tomorrow too, so, in general, it might kinda suck to be outside all the time and do walking tours as per prescribed routes instead of being able to flexibly hop into some shopping areas just to take warm up / have a coffee etc. Still, the choice is yours 😀 In this weather you wont be able to see much in Moscow Forstadt district anyways, plus it’s getting dark already and you can just walk around the Central Market – I’d suggest the Food court section – on your own. Just watch your pockets/belongings there. If you wanna something more “spicy” there is “Labietis” craft-beer counter in one of the pavillions, and yes, they do tap beer.
