Just saw this pasta ad on the jubilee line. Can anyone else see a human jawbone with teeth sitting at the bottom of the bowl, or have my years on the internet finally broken my brain?

  1. those two white… “thing” are disturbing me. what are those? toenails?

  2. That’s just how Spaghetti Molarnese is served. Literally *al dente*. 🦷

  3. I have no idea what’s going on here. Someone care to explain?

  4. I saw this on the tube yesterday and thought it looked like tentacles

  5. It’s definitely odd, mafaldine do not look like that: may be AI generated ?

  6. It’s a hidden message from the AI that generated the image, watch out my dudes…Skynet is coming.

  7. I THOUGHT THAT YESTERDAY! Going through a tough time rn so glad it’s not just me 😂

  8. It doesn’t look human to me, more like a herbivore mammal? Maybe a deer?

  9. I’ve had this just before christmas

Not enough tomato in the sauce 🙁 dissapointing

    Pasta was slimy too

  10. Gonna need those dentures back, sorry about that.

  11. Oh my lord. Yes me too

I was literally saying this to all my friends last week. Every time I get on the tube, I see this advert.

  12. Malfedine, sometimes looks like squid tentacles 🦑 🐙

  13. Well now I can’t unsee it.

BRB – putting in a permanent WFH request

  14. I ordered from them a couple of months ago. Luckily no jawbones but otherwise it was overpriced shite, don’t bother

  15. I think it’s just an occurrence of Pareidolia: the tendency to perceive a specific, often meaningful image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern. The scientific explanation for some people is pareidolia, or the human ability to see shapes or make pictures out of randomness.

There is a whole sub dedicated to it: r/Pareidolia

Nevertheless, I can definitely see what looks like a jawbone with teeth, but it’s just an odd angle view of the ribbed pasta.

  16. >Can anyone else see a human jawbone with teeth sitting at the bottom of the bowl

    I can now.

  17. No, that is just good advertising practice. Put something in to make people think more about the advert.

The same technique explains why you see minorities overrepresented in advertising. You will pay more attention to a mixed couple than a bland boring pairing. You’ll pay more attention to a curly haired angel than a blonde one because you have seen the blonde ones a million times.

It’s the same with putting pasta-colored teeth in a picture of pasta. Made you look and made you think.

Simple but genius. So genius that my comment will be downvoted by people who can’t understand it

  18. Nonsense!

There’s no way that jawbone is human. Definitely something like a deer with a longer jaw

  19. I have to avoid this advert it makes me feel ill to look at.

  20. Bowl of tripe, anyone? I saw it earlier today and it took me a minute 😲

  21. Well I can now! Thanks for ruining the Tube mate!

  22. I didn’t but now I do. It’s just the top half of the pasta, radiatore. Perfect for meat sauce.
