The only thing I’m not sure about is soule rm. I really like kostic but, considering we have youngsters cambiaso and iling in that position, I think we should accept an offer for a 30 year old

  1. Soule can play in the midfield

Mckennie will be winger for sure now and djalo too

Milik will stay is like rugani have patience and don’t complain

  2. Tactical comment: I think we’re going to be hard-pressed to find meaningful playtime for everyone next year if we maintain a 352. A 343 seems more viable. This allows any combo of Chiesa, Soule, and Yildiz to play either behind Vlahovic/Milik/Kean or out wide.

Player comment: Miretti won’t play regista and, instead, will be competing with the mezzalas. Allegri seems inclined to play Iling like a combo wingback/mezzala (similar to his use of Mckennie). As such, I think he’s also competing with the Rabiot spot and not Cambiaso. I can see us accepting an offer on Kostic but I don’t think we’re looking to move him. Soule as right wingback should not happen- it’ll force him too deep and limit his strengths (hence my tactics note above). That leaves a hole at RWB in depth. Lastly, don’t forget about Facundo Gonzalez (CD loaned to Samp) as depth next year in case Rugani leaves or Huijsen is loaned again.

  3. Ax^2 + bx + c = 0

Preferably we move away from the 3atb and go 4-3-3. Our wingbacks may mature enough into fullbacks or wingers. Soule is not a wingback. Chiesa needs freedom on the wing.
