I think we need to step up and do some serious squashing of these extremist militant pockets. I know war and death sucks but the phrase “you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet” applies. Do you think China has any interest in protecting shipping lanes that don’t come out of China? If they did they would have participated in the US initiative to provide security through the Gulf of Aden.
