Israel-Palestine: David Cameron says two-state solution is still ‘feasible’

Fundamentally you know there four things have got to happen um once this conflict is over we’ve got to see a Palestinian Le government in Gaza and the West Bank we need a concrete plan of support for that government and a plan to help reform and support the Palestinian

Authority we’ve got to see a massive reconstruction plan for for Gaza after this conflict is over and crucially we’ve got to see a political Horizon towards a two-state solution because the way I see it is you won’t get the s of assistance on security governance and technical help in Gaza after the

Conflict unless you can convince Palestinian authorities Palestinian people and Arab states that you got a longer term Horizon towards a a two-state solution do you think that’s remotely feasible I think given everything that’s happened yes you’ve got to hope that it’s feasible um you know out of a

Crisis should come some opportun Comm

The foreign secretary has said a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine is possible as the conflict in Gaza rages on.

“Out of a crisis should come some opportunity,” Lord Cameron said.

The former prime minister was quizzed over whether a two-state solution, which would see Israel alongside an independent Palestinian state, is “remotely feasible” after the bitter war – which has seen thousands killed.

“Yes, you’ve got to hope that it’s feasible,” Lord Cameron said.

And, in a bid for caution from the Israeli government, he added that he “would have differences” with how the country has responded to Hamas attacks against it on October 7.

And while he accepted neighbouring Arab nations “might be disappointed” by Britain’s response to the crisis, having not called for an outright ceasefire by Israel, he said they will “understand” a ceasefire is not possible while Hamas is still able to launch rockets into Israel.

  1. Оставьте в покое Палестинцев!!!, Они защищают свою землю!! Сопротивление защищает свою землю!! Называйте как хотите сопротивление окупации!! В Газе и в Палестине это Хамас!! А Израиль превзошёл Фашизм

  2. Of course it is feasible
Any other solution is accepting that one or both of the sides will be destroyed, which is unacceptable
