  2. Nva has become just another vld. Privatizing the profits, socializing the risks, externalities and losses. They even want to privatize our health care system. Wtf

    It would have resulted in crappy homes, being rented at whatever price they wanted (cause there is always a more expensive place to rent somewhere….). NVA really wants us to move to a full on US style capitalist exploitation society in which taxes are mostly used to fund corporations….

    Seems like a clear-cut thing. They agreed to do it a certain way when they formed the government and Diependaele isn’t following it. So he either has to give a good argument why he wants to change it or uphold the agreement he made.

  5. Diependaele zijn plan is natuurlijk niet beïnvloed door lobby werk van de real estate sector. Dit is duidelijk de beste beslissing voor de burgers. /s
    Wanneer gaan we inzien dat mensen macht geven zonder dat ze verantwoordelijk kunnen gehouden worden voor wat ze met die macht doen, altijd leidt tot zelfverrijking, nepotisme, corruptie en uitbuiting van de burgers? Politici zijn om van te kotsen in dit land.

  6. I can see where he is coming from. With the current reform in social housing societies, lots of projects are scrapped our placed on hold.

    What Diependaele proposes would enlarge the stock of housing for people “just about managing”, which is helpful to catch those people’s income from backsliding into state support and relieve the pressure on social housing.

    The other alternative is to keep the money and resume projects after the reforms are enacted, but this will not lead directly to more social housing being built in the same time frame.

  7. The goal should be to help people, this sub is wierd as these houses will always be build by real esate developers be it as social housing or not.

    The flemish gov should see what is the fastest way to get the most houses the quickest to those that need one against the lowest cost.

  8. I didnt know what party Diependaele was from but from reading the title I was already 99% sure he was from the NVA.
