  3. It’s also being reported today that the EU is offering concessions on withheld funds if Hungary drops it’s veto on Ukrainian funding, interesting if this evolves to be a ‘here’s your money, do what you want with it, but you’ve no say now’ situation.

  10. I can’t immediately go to this being good, largely because I don’t know enough about Hungarian politics. (I’m open to learning if anyone from Hungary cares to chime in)

    Think of how the current US speaker got into place. McConnell wasn’t good by any stretch, but they managed to replace him with someone even worse. If Mike Johnson goes, he will be replaces again with someone even worse (Matt Gaetz?). It’s all a part of the fascist playbook to drive out anyone not “pure” enough in their ideals.

    HU has been tickling at fascism for a while. This could be a party that is just as bad or worse trying to seize power through a populist action.

    I could be wrong too… I just need more to make an informed decision
