Comments that happen online uh trying to discredit the Ukrainian president can you shed some light on this for us yes Mark let’s have a look at the video uh where we see a uh supposedly vadir Zen ski having a boogie in a doing a sort of

Belly dance in a red Ensemble um and this video has been doing the rounds for the last 10 days or so racking up hundreds of thousands of views in lots of different languages including uh Turkish for one um and it’s been shared of all sorts of comments here on

Facebook uh it says Ukraine must be proud uh it’s also been shared on X this user says about time zilinsky was sent to the front line and here’s another version of it on X uh where the user says this is the problem with democracy zilinsky will be remembered as the last

Leader of Ukraine Mark indeed these things often show how small-minded and bitter people can be but often behind it there is a more Insidious intent isn’t that so this video has been attracting ridicule on social media but is it true or is it fake what can you tell us well

We did a reverse image search on the video uh using screenshots and uh it led us to the Tik Tok profile of this Russian dancer and he published uh this the initial video back in uh October 20120 as we can see here um and nowhere does he say that it’s uh zilinsky

Dancing in fact the caption says how do you like my dancing modern or Eastern so let’s have a look at this uh video uh where is it it is just here and yeah as we can see he maybe better a passing res res to zalinski but

It’s not him and here I took a screenshot of the two side by side on the left we have the original dancer and on the right we have zelinsky’s face superimposed on top so this is a deep fake a rather good one as well and uh it is obviously to pres presumably designed

To discredit the Ukrainian president as he continues uh to appeal to the International Community for financial aid in uh the combat against Russia’s Invasion indeed um whether or not such a video would discredit him in the minds of right thinking people one would doubt it clearly looks like it could have been

A if it were true an old video but anyway uh it isn’t the first on the surface of zalinski string his stuff on the dance floor is it no there have been a few actually um the latest one was uh during the summer when another video went viral and again it shows zalinsky

In a sort of Slinky onesie doing a belly dance um and this one was fact checked by uh German media Dolla and they uh did a similar similarly used a reverse image search to debunk it and they told us that in fact it’s a deep fake of the

Video of an Argentinian dancer named Pablo aosta uh but one might wonder why people are going to so much trouble to make videos of zalinsky dancing when there are in fact quite a few already out there on the internet because of course uh the Ukrainian president before he became President Vladimir zinski was

A an actor and a comedian and he also appeared in uh the Ukrainian version of Dancing With the Stars he also won it back in 2006 and so clips from his appearance there uh went viral um in the aftermath at the start of uh the Ukraine

Russia War uh so again uh this that could make this latest video seem credible of course but it is in fact a deep fake so we’re going to put a big X on that there um and it presumably won’t be the last Mark indeed you’ve exposed somebody a end there well done Emerald

In fact, humorous or not, the video does not show the Ukrainian president. Real videos have previously emerged of Zelensky proving he can be light on his feet, from before his presidency, but this is not one of them.
