A mistake? Its far more than a mistake in one aircraft. Its the company culture that the mistake is in.
Maybe they should build their own airplanes instead of layering contractors on top of contractors, so that their designs and electronics are being done in India for cents an hour.
move out of Seattle…Chicago….keep on moving…collecting from tax payers every move
Stop cutting costs. You overcharge the government for equipment as it is.
This is what happens when you hire with "diversity and inclusion" over safety. There is a REAL COST to woke lies.
The money men run boeing, not the engineers.
This guy makes bombo for live. Why he is crying for😅😅
That is the face of a man who knows what happened to the last CEO of Boeing Dennis Muilenburg.
At least he’s learned to own up to it earlyish instead of the disgusting, insulting, head in the sand approach they took to Lion Air and Ethiopian airlines, after the two Boeing 737 Max 8 death crashes which killed 346 people.
Although I have to say, it still took too long to make a statement like this. There was a deafening silence from Boeing for five days. Not good enough. I would’ve expected to hear something as soon as one of their best customers for this aircraft ,Alaskan Airlines, grounded a fleet of 65 of their aircraft.
The two Max 8 crashes were not just caused by faulty computer software. They were caused by a culture and oversight deficit which permitted this to happen.
The people who operate and fly on Boeing aircraft need to know that this culture has changed and improved.
Mr Calhoun needs to demonstrate that this is the case, in order to restore confidence in this aircraft type and by extension, confidence in the Boeing company itself.
There are huge orders for this aircraft, its success is critical to Boeing. It needs to be right and it needs to be seen to be right.
Just like MCAS, right
For a few months now, whenever someone tells me how horrible Elon Musk is, I tell them that the don't only not know who the CEO of Boeing is, but that they would have good reason to dislike him / her.
Well, here it is.
Not only is this guy a monster, he's one hell of an actor.
See the MCAS emails where Boeing "bosses" made demeaning jokes about the MCAS events
You do not know "what happened to whoever was supposed to be in that seat next to the hole in the airplane" -So you don't care do you?
disgusting company
