I don’t think they’ll drop off massively but I’d be surprised if they didn’t take a slight dip
Good article comparing Clough, Wenger, Revie, and SAF to the current Klopp situation. A good conclusion as well, Klopp leaves a galvanized supporter base, and no sense of apathy.
Here’s hoping for a post Wenger/post Fergie like dip for them. Remember it’s nothing personal ❤️
YOU CAN’T HAVE DAVID MOYES!!!!!!
If Liverpool can get someone who is capable of retaining the players they have, they have a solid squad that requires minimal investment for the next 5 years.
Apart from Salah, their attack is well stacked for the next 5+ years.
Apart from Endo, their midfield is set for close to a decade even.
Even in defense they may have to replace Alisson, VVD and Robertson in couple of seasons, but the rest are still quite young. And in Alisson’s case, he might be good beyond 35 as long as his positioning and decision making remain top notch, his reflexes wouldn’t matter as much (he barely relies on his reflexes today).
So overall I’d say they’re are well set to be consistent/dominant, even with unforeseen departures as long as they make sure to bring in one starting player a season over the next half a decade at the very least.
