Virgil van Dijk unsure if he will be part of post-Jürgen Klopp era at Liverpool

  1. I don’t think he’s said anything unreasonable. He is currently the captain, with another 18 months left on his contract. It makes sense that he waits it out to see who LFC replaces Klopp with, and to find out where he fits into the plans of the new manager.

  2. How can he guess what’s on the mind of the new manager when even the new manager hasn’t been finalised yet…

    Relax

  3. Old player doesn’t know what the future holds for him and his boss is changing

  4. I think it’s only fair for him to be somewhat uncertain. He’s getting older, his contract is getting lower, a new manager will be coming in and more than likely a new sporting director.

FSG have always been dubious about handing older players long deals.

However I would be gutted to see him go as I don’t think there’ll be any manager who won’t want him to be part of the squad.
