There is no quest for the title this year. We do not have the capacity without a natural left 8 after Xhaka went.
We actually have decent depth, just depleted by injuries. Other teams have had it worse with number of injuries, but Arsenal have the same 4 or 5 players who consistently break down 2 or 3 times a season and always when you need them. Then you get normal injuries on top of those guys, and all of a sudden, you have 15 year olds on the bench.

Arsenal have been very wasteful for how much they’ve spent on transfers. Been signing players in the same 3 or so positions for like 5 years straight now; GK, CB, and DM.
