[Ben Jacobs]: Chelsea want a new left back, they appreciate Alphonso Davies and are scouting Milos Kerkez. Chelsea could comfortably spend £200m this summer even before sales, if they chose to spend £300-350m, it could be offset with sales such as Maatsen, Hall, Gallagher, and Chalobah.

  1. See we keep getting fed different stories. 1 day they have to sell 100m before July, the next they’re spending 200 million?!

  2. Whether they can or can’t, the fact they are talking about it should be embarrassing as hell, considering what they’ve already spent.

    Not to mention, with their track record so far, no one can have any faith that any of these signings would either work out or be what they need.

    Here’s an idea, build something with the billion worth of players they’ve bought and guys they had before. They’ve got Chilwell, Cucurella and Maatsen for LBs at the club ready. Mastsen has a buy clause in his loan to Dortmund but you can still convince him to stay.

  7. There is no way Chelsea are in for Davies. Up against profitability limits they are not blowing 100mil+ on a left back. I would also be surprised if Davies even would want to go to Chelsea in their current state.

  13. Didn’t they just loan a solid one to BVB? Also Ben Jacob’s seems to sell himself as PR. He was pushing so many Saudi rumors that turned out to be total bullshit this summer
