Kroos about Leipzig’s disallowed goal: “I think so too [that the goal should’ve stood]. In the end, [the ref] whistles for offside because [the Leipzig player] hinders [Lunin], but the keeper isn’t getting to the ball anyway, so the goal should’ve been given. One can’t argue otherwise.”

Toni has the right to be wrong on this 🙂
Embarrassing. I’m the biggest Kroos defender (I literally think he’s one of the goats. Not goat midfielders, simply one of the goats) but off the pitch I’m starting to feel like he’s taking on this personality of “look at how based I am, I say what others aren’t brave enough to say” or whatever.
Just say you’re not sure and you’ll have to check the footage back, if you really have doubts. Why would you set out to hurt our teams image like this? Don’t think he will, he’s too big to be asked to, but wish he would retract this statement. He’s wrong, the goal is correctly disallowed.
Love me some Toni, but he got this wrong.
Henry explained this perfectly, Heinrichs was dumb and that’s it. It was interference by a player on an offside position. It wasn’t big, but it was interference for sure.
Lunin can’t get the cross, but he is prevented from being in position to make the save, so it is offsides.
honestly its one of those decisions that if it was against us we would be screaming on top of our lungs but because its favouring us we are justifying it.
I understand Toni’s point here, but I don’t agree with him.
Lunin wouldn’t have reached the ball anyway and the Leipzig player’s push is very soft, but the rulebook is what it is, it’s well re-refereed.
I just like how our players are allowed at least some level of freedom of speech.
He’s 100% right. I was shocked that goal was called off. Imagine if that happened to us, I couldn’t imagine what people here would have been saying.
it wouldve counted a goal for leipzig if their name were ManCity (ruben dias against spurs gk), idk why i see this so often in the last couple of weeks but it seems like there is a „rule gap“ like players deliberately stand next to the gk to disturb him,
the rule that i know is when you hinder the gk in the six yard box its automatically a foul but what do i know..
Kroos is being objective here and people here are being emotional. If this happened in Barca or City game everyone here would say it should’ve been given. It’s ok to be tribalistic like this, should be encouraged actually but don’t shit on someone who’s telling the truth.
