  1. Which Prem club do you think have the best oppourtunity to sign Mbappe if he wants to come here?

Mbappe won’t earn £1m weekly in any other European club outside PSG regardless

  2. Realistically any club who thinks they’re going to sign him and it isn’t all a dance so that Madrid can avoid some Neymar-esque retribution from PSG is absolutely dreaming.

Even if we sold Salah to Saudi for 150+mil we don’t have the wage structure to support signing Mbappe, plus with Klopp leaving it would put us at an immediate disadvantage as there will be a question mark over whether we’d be immediate contenders without him.

City *could* sell Haaland to Madrid I guess but again seems unlikely given he’s working out so well there and swapping him for Mbappe seems like an unnecessary risk. Even they can’t print enough money to pay both of them.

Chelsea will be lucky to keep what they have and stay within FFP. Arsenal similarly don’t have the wage structure for him.

United will also struggle both financially and theres so many other problems with that squad, spending it all on him isn’t a sound decision.

End of the day, he’s going to go to Madrid. Anyone who thinks otherwise is dreaming and setting themselves up for disappointment.

I look forward to a certain sect of our fans getting mad we wouldn’t just offer him a million a week to join us and saying it’s proof the owners have no ambition.

  3. Was he really making 200 Million/Year? That’s insane

  4. They will offer him the position of president of france to get him to stay

  5. Come on, every transfer window is the same He says hes going to leave then doesn’t. He does ot to get more money off PSG.

  6. What terms are there to be agreed if he’s just running out his contract?

  7. madrid aren’t going to pay him as much, and I doubt any team in the prem will either. unless he takes a pay cut, he’s staying in paris and this is just to get even more money out of them which is already a ridiculous amount

  8. The only team getting played harder than Madrid in this never ending cycle is PSG. How everyone is still falling for this is beyond me.

  9. I’m so sick of this player. If I were a Real Madrid fan, I’d hope they would stay well clear.

  10. This real Madrid move has been in the making for 2 years. He should have signed last summer.

  11. Imagine not getting anything for one of the best players in the world.

  12. Psg is perfectly fine without him they wouldn’t even notice he’ll be gone.

  13. No footballer is worth £170,000,000 per year. The knock on effect is of course he becomes the yardstick for how much lesser talented players decide their own worth. World football is entering dangerous times. If countries like China and Japan decide to stop watching European Football. The sport would collapse.

  14. Perez building amazing squad without oil money! fuck me next 5-6 years they will be unstoppable.

  15. Not a chance he’s coming to the PL as nobody can afford him. Business as usual for us really.

He’ll be back at PSG soon

  16. So they’re paying him €200m a year? How is that even possible? What am I missing?

  17. The fact is that he cannot conceivably be worth the kind of money he demands. There’s no way any club can justify it. Except maybe Real Madrid.

Because here’s the thing, he could win you it all, and you won’t have made your money back on him.

And he hasn’t got anything like the status of a Messi, because he spends most of the year bullying farmers, so you’d need to build his reputation from scratch.

  18. He will take the pay cut and go to Madrid.

Unless he is some sort of new age greed player we haven’t seen before, he will be at Madrid. His legacy needs it, he knows he needs a European trophy, his ballon d’or chances need it.

  19. “PSG will save €200 million a year”

The fuck are they even allowed to spend that on wages for one player. Absolute joke of a club

  20. That’s almost 4 million a week?! How on earth is that possible,do they not have FFP to consider?

  21. He ain’t coming to the PL. this post is wholly irrelevant

  22. He’s very good isn’t he… but is he great? Will he be great?

  23. so what does this mean in context of this saga? he is positioning for another year extension?

  24. Again! Yay! Can’t wait for this to resolve itself swiftly without endless media bloviating.
